The ideal candidate for this position will be a person with sufficient maturity to command respect from those he/she deals with, whilst possessing enough energy and passion. A successful history and background in Electrical Engineering field is required, supported by B.Eng. / B.Sc. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering and minimum of 2 years experience in the an EPCM / EPM/ Construction / Engineering environment.Primary Job Responsibilities:Reporting to the Engineering Manger you will help produce cost effective and technically sound Electrical designs within the required time frame to support project deliverables.You will be expected to:Ensure discipline strategy development during set-up to meet project deliverablesOffer general project support and problem solving on technical matters arisingUse knowledge of scope on current and recent projects to promote re-use of engineering where possibleReview key discipline documentation and drawings produced on projectsDevelop electrical strategy and design criteria to suit the unique project/client requirementsProduce regular project status reportsGenerate post-project feedbackReview and Approve Cable schedules that list all cable details and lengthsGenerate scope of work specifications with technical requirements for each packageAssist in developing, managing and controlling the discipline cost and man-hour estimatesProduce discipline specific designs according to schedule and budgetMaintain effective engineering input/output of design officeMaintain effective inter-discipline requirementsManage and interface with Clients, suppliers and contractors to meet project objectivesProvide suggestions for improving internal work methods and procedures on an ad-hoc basis.Regularly review and contribute towards improvement of procedures and systemsEnsure all QA procedures and guidelines are followed in all daily activitiesParticipate in quality assurance auditsMonitor vendor qualityMonitor site qualityAdhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.Remuneration: Full time permanent position with competitive salary, training and development, internal promotions, travel and responsibilities and an interesting global working environment.
