Minimum requirements for the role:
Previous Customer Support experience would be preferred.
3 - 4 years’ Mechanical/Technical working experience within the mining equipment industry is essential.
Previous Internal Sales experience is essential.
Previous experience in shipping and transport is preferred.
Computer literacy – MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook as well as BAAN is essential.
Ability to communicate fluently in English is essential, additional languages are advantageous.
Strong planning, organisational, administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing price and cost proposals in response to customer requirements.
Capturing and processing customer orders in accordance with the sales process.
Monitoring spares order production and shipment to ensure timeous delivery and informing customers of any potential delays.
Invoicing customers as per customer requirements and supporting the Debtors department.
Understanding equipment installed at each customer in order to identify and select the correct spares required.
Analysing customer order trends and informing the Customer Support Consultant on any variances.
Assisting in developing action plans to address variances.
Coordinating, analysing and improving customer service functions to meet company goals.
Maintaining a competent understanding of company products, their function, spares requirements and alternatives.
Maintaining a database of customer quotes, sales orders and invoice records.
Interfacing with customers and other company departments to handle both pre-sales and post-sales service functions.
Handling and resolving customer complaints or inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
