You will collaborate with senior managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
A strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and renewable energy technologies is essential.This is an opportunity for a Junior Construction Manager with solar and/or electrical industry experience to join an engineering firm in Durbanville, Cape Town.Minimum requirements :1-2 years of experience in the solar and/or electrical industryRelevant tertiary education is highly advantageousExperience managing multiple projects/sites simultaneouslyWillingness to travel to various sites (rotation)Excellent communication skills at all levelsProficiency in computer skills (email, Excel)Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materialsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent administrative, communication, and follow-up skillsPosition Details :The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:1.
Solar system design and engineering :Assist the Lead Engineer with designing and engineering solar power systems, including PV arrays, inverters, storage, and electrical distribution.Help develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and calculations.Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards for solar installations.2.
Electrical system design, development, and implementation :Support in designing and implementing electrical systems for projects.3.
Site inspections :Conduct inspections to ensure safety standards and regulations are met.4.
Project support :Assist senior engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing projects.5.
Documentation :Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.6.
Testing and troubleshooting :Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems.7.
Collaboration :Work with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.8.
After-sales support :Involved in post-installation support.9.
