Junior Buyer

Your key responsibilities would include but not limited to:To develop your understanding of the retail buying process you would be responsible for administrative aspects within your department.This would include:Order capturingSample managementMerchandise input,Liaise with suppliers, planners and stores on issues related to the departmentAnalysis of post mortem figures - Input in terms of trends to establish strategic merchandise assortment plansSource the best quality merchandise to meet trends in line with merchandise assortment plan and target marketPrepare and present representative merchandise assortment which reflects the total buyNegotiate the best deals with suppliers by selecting the best suppliersExecuting these key tasks within your Buying team will help enable the merchant processes and ensure adherence to important timelinesRegular correspondence with suppliers around samples and strike offsLiaise with suppliers, planners and stores on issues related to the department.
