Junior Buyer

Duties & Responsibilities Maximise the purchasing benefits for the company Optimise the stock holding to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full Maintain and grow strong relationships with raw material suppliers and service providers Develop and implement procurement procedures that ensure the optimisation of supply chain function for the business Monitor the international markets and economic trends to ensure continuous supply, competitive pricing and improve the competitive advantages to the business Ensure that internal stakeholders are informed of key supply chain information at all times Desired Experience & Qualification Skills High attention to detail Ability to understand materials and production requirements Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. Strong organizational skills; detail oriented. Ability to use good judgment in order to carry out detailed instructions. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Diploma/ Degree in Procurement with one years procurement experience OR 3 years procurement experience and studying towards a procurement qualification Matric NQF level 4 English language competency Excel intermediate Pastel Experience advantageous Knowledge of shipping and handling Package & Remuneration R11K-R15K + Commission (Med& Pens)
