Role Description To contribute to the development and implementation of the departmental accounting systems, policies and procedures. Supports the department through the collection, processing, recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation. Maintain complete and proper records of revenue, expenditure, assets and liabilities, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Key Responsibilities The junior bookkeeper will be responsible for the following: Capturing transactions on the electronic accounting system and on any other necessary. Systems (Data entry). Accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices (internal and external). Incoming and outgoing payments. Journals. Log sheet information. Capture delivery notes and create purchase orders. invoice lists. Distribute fleet and credit card statements. Distribute cell phone accounts to users. Distribute. E-toll accounts to users. Prepare courier calculations. Calculate and invoice admin fees. Debtors Follow-Up. Deposit voucher. Send out customer statements (post/email). Delegate filing to junior clerk. Process cheques, bills, receipts, vouchers, licenses or permits. Other responsibilities: Accounting and Mathematics at school is essential. English and Afrikaans (speak, read, write). Good communicator. Able to work under pressure. Ability to execute instructions correctly. Attention to detail. Computer literacy. Trustworthy and honesty in the handling of cash or finances.
