The incumbent will be responsible for creating a people strategy, direct training and development programmes as well as develop and implement policies and programs most suitable to optimising business performance. Qualifications and Experience required: 8 years of broad and progressive HR experience with a proven track record as a business partner who effectively collaborates with functional specialists, management and leadership NQF Level 7: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred) Experience advising and counseling managers on how to identify and attract key talent, develop succession plans, utilize recognition and rewards to incent behavior, and help managers drive performance improvement and career growth within their teams Knowledge, skills and competencies required Strong business acumen and proven learning agility A self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal style and influence effectively at all levels in the organisation Demonstrate tact and diplomacy Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability Strong Excel and HCM capabilities Experience with people data analytics and proven ability to influence with data Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility and act with complete integrity Strong HR background (organization development, employee relations, compensation, management development and coaching) Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance Key areas of responsibility Facilitation of compensation, benefits, employment and employee relations programs Build a great company to work for by partnering with HC specialists and business partners to create, implement and communicate programs for benefits & rewards, performance management, engagement, retention & mobility (that are aligned with financial goals). Provide recommendations and implement solutions to motivate, develop and retain employees. Effectively utilise data to provide relevant, accurate information for both internal clients and HR. Provide recommendations and implement solutions to motivate, develop and retain employees Assist management and leadership with resolving employee relations issues, conducting investigations and recommending appropriate courses of action in conjunction with the ER Manager Drive the people agenda within the functional business unit Participate in the development of the workforce plan for the COID business, provide exceptional candidate experience and maintain candidate pipelines In collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, execute recruitment plans in line with the workforce plan and defined budget and participate in candidate interviews and decision-making processes Participate in the development of the people strategy for the COID function (in alignment with the overall people strategy), coaching and significantly influencing senior leadership, fostering strategic business partnering as well as managing and directing the team's execution capabilities. Drive the Human Capital Plan for the COID business Plan and implement solutions aligned to both business and HC strategy and goals Influence talent initiatives that support short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance, management effectiveness and operational excellence Collaborate with the Organisational Effectiveness team to identify talent gaps and succession issues before they affect the business. Serve as an internal talent scout for key positions and help develop the next generation of leaders through talent management and career development Coach managers/supervisors through the development and execution of Performance Improvement Plans for individual associates. Review the performance appraisal process and individual reviews for consistent content and discussions. Provide ongoing support and consultation to management Provide consultation to management in order to foster and promote the engagement of the core values of RMA at all levels Consult with department required to heads on the development and implementation of human resources policies and programs Ensure regulatory and legal compliance Ensure compliance with company legal and HC practices as well as with legislative and regulatory requirements and standards. Liaise with legal and HC Operations as appropriate Ensure that there is excellent alignment with established human capital policies & procedures in the execution of business unit and HC initiatives
