Position Overview: The IT Technician / 1st Line Support falls under the IT Manager and will be responsible for all Internal IT within the Company (Head Office and branches), as well as 1st Line, 2nd Line support and on-site support for Managed Service Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal IT:
Assisting with server maintenance: All Microsoft Servers, All Firewalls
VM Management: Maintain the VMWare Servers
All Notebook and Desktop Maintenance: Hardware and Software
Assisting users with IT calls
LAN and WAN connectivity and installation of new network points.
Server Room maintenance.
Backups and power redundancy
Daily and Weekly reporting
Keeping the user list and Infrastructure list up to date.
Ensuring Antivirus protection throughout the company.
Technical AD Hoc
T&A login maintenance
General Office Maintenance
External IT (Managed Services)
Managing the Ubuntu Service Desk for 1st Line support on Servers, Desktops, Notebooks, Printers, Networks
Logging and maintaining calls for 1st Line, 2nd Line support.
On-Site Support for clients on the MSP services.
Adherence to SLA terms
Qualifications Required:
Senior Certificate (essential);
MS Office Support;
Proof of technical skills and experience;
Must have valid driver’s license.
2 Years Desktop / Server Remote Support
2 Years – IT On-Site Support
VM Ware Knowledge
Must be presentable – candidate will have to meet with clients;
Communication skills (read, write and speak) very important;
Continuous skill improvement and self-development;
Adhere to company processes;
Strong interpersonal skills (with customers, suppliers and team members);
Perform well under pressure;
