A dynamic company based in Linbro Park is looking for an IT Operations Manager
Duties:
This is a hands-on operational position responsible for managing the integrated country IT organisation and /o r IT Hub Main functions: Supporting users Troubleshooting network and server hardware issues Configuring personal computers and mobile devices Managing systems and software applications Resolving telecommunication and network communication issues (including WiFi) Ensuring that data Security, Privacy and Governance procedures and guidelines are up to date Implemented and monitored Additionally, providing project support for new clinics, in terms of installing a corporate IT infrastructure Required Professional Experience: Helpdesk management: ensuring details are correctly recorded, routed / dispatched, followed-up and resolved with users, and to meet defined criteria Implementing and complying with corporate Integrated Management Systems: SOPs and instructions Managing local Data Centers (servers and networks): performing correctly and meeting corporate guidelines and standards. That regular maintenance activities and backups are scheduled, and issues escalated as a priority Secure WiFi solutions are in place for end-users, visitors, and patients in clinics. Maintaining an overview of networks, access points, routers and switches and planning for new requirements and upgrades Systems Admin: software upgrades, security patches, upgrades are scheduled and installed, and end-user issues supported Details of local System landscape; IT infrastructure and Applications are recorded, reviewed and updated regularly Hardware lifecycle management (full traceability, from receipt to end-of -life and related Asset Management, including reported losses and thefts) Specialist Knowledge: Experience in: Managing IT Operations and/ or in customer facing roles Installing and troubleshooting applications across a variety of systems environments and possible remote locations Windows Operating systems, Windows Office solutions (preferably O365) Understanding of IT infrastructure, corporate network and wireless networks General requirements of ISO27001 Project management methodology: as a manager or as a member providing support Support with SAP ERP technical issues Important Personal Qualities or Personal
Requirements:
Good communication skillsboth written and verbal and can effectively communicate to all levels of the organization whether technical or nontechnical Organised, methodological, deadline driven and able to focus on priorities under pressure Able to explain complex issues and initiatives clearly and work towards gaining a common understanding and finding appropriate solutions Deals with conflicting priorities calmly and effectively Good problem-solving skills and can work in a methodical way to find solutions Able to delegate tasks and responsibilities clearly Keen to learn and share information and knowledge through mentoring and coaching Main accountabilities: To manage the daily IT Operations functions to ensure: An integrated and effective IT service is delivered to the business To develop, implement and maintain the country and /or IT Hubs, strategy and daily Operations, in alignment with business requirements That Country/EMEA/ Global IT projects or initiatives are in line with IT EMEA The local Data Centre/ Server room is in a physically secure location and meets corporate standards (e.g. correctly equipped for fires and not near to potential water damage) That servers and related monitoring tools, firewalls etc. are performing at optimum and that regular back-up procedures and service maintenance are conducted to a schedule and in accordance with corporate standards All IT assets are stored securely or can be tracked and traced effectively Regular IT self-assessments are conducted and issues resolved or escalated Proactive identification of the systems; servers; applications; technologies which are coming to end of life (sunset) or requiring upgrades and ensure there is a clear plan/demand and budget to upgrade or replace as necessary Compliance with the management and mitigation of risks to the IT environment and integrity of information systems and data held within the company. Requirements are met in terms of local legislation and audit requirements SLAs and related KPIs are in place and being met for key services and activities Key Performance Indicators: Meeting targets and objectives and ensuring operational deliverables are met (SLAs and related KPIS) regarding the availability and performance of: networks, systems, applications, hardware, devices, software. At country and / or Hub level as appropriate To have appropriate escalation routes and processes in place to ensure optimal operational performance and risk mitigation Planning and managing assigned team members, with clear responsibilities and accountabilities Scope of Responsibility: Budget Responsibility: level TBD by country and / or Hub Line and disciplinary management of assigned team members. Responsibility for all activities covering the IT team: time-keeping, workload management, quality of work delivered, training/personal development and appraisal activities Technical management overview of daily IT Operations, services and activities and ensuring SLAs and KPI are being met
Requirements:
Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification in IT technical field (e.g. Computer science, Information Systems), and ideally experience working in an ITIL framework Minimum five years IT operational experience within commercial or healthcare sectors Matric (essential) Some formal qualification (+3 year diploma / BTech) English speaking Own vehicle and valid drivers license (essential) Computer Literacy: Windows Operating systems Windows Office solutions (preferably O365) SAP (advantageous)
