Want to be a part of our team?The Site IT Manager will assist the EMEA IT Director in the smooth running of the Network and Infrastructure and Application services at the South African data center(s) of NTT Global Data Centers EMEA. Working at NTT Responsibilities/Duties: Document the network and server infrastructure and assets including: Customer connections Transit connections Peering agreements Manage network equipment including: Routers Switches Firewalls Out of band connectivity Maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting system Maintain Cacti SNMP graphing system Interface with customers and on-site engineers and contractors during the provisioning process of any network related services, including data cabling Manage and coordinate internal and external scheduled downtime with clients and on-site engineers and contractors to allow for upgrades and maintenance Provide internal technical support and offer an escalation path from support engineers on complex networking and technical issues Maintain internal networks and equipment including office PCs, printers, faxes, display units, VoIP PBXs, IP CCTV and Access control systems Maintain Microsoft Active Directory domain controllers and Exchange infrastructure Maintain and audit backup/DR strategy for configuration and data files for all key equipment and servers Participate in an on-call rota for out of hours’ network and complex technical support issues Implementation and management of network traffic logging systems Implementation and management of Out-Of-Band systems at all POP sites for all key infrastructure Implementation and management of VoIP telephony systems spanning multiple sites Implementation and management of IPv6 services Work in conjunction with EMEA IT Team to locally support all IT systems within South Africa. Requirements: Previous experience working in an IT Department within a Data Center would be desirable but not essential Ability to display some knowledge of some or any of: Routing - JunOS/eBGP/iBGP/OSPF/CIDR/VRRP/IPv6 Switching - VLANS/LACP/PoE/STP/RSTP/MSTP Servers – Windows/Centos/Ubuntu General – DHS/DHCP/SMTP/SSH Flexible and with a strong hands-on mentality with some of the tasks involved with building and running data centers Flexibility to travel to other locations within South Africa or to Europe as required at short notice Full driving license valid for use in South Africa with own transport Experience in leading a small team is an asset Skills: Independent, reliable and efficient approach to work Good team player, highly motivated Flexibility towards working hours, willing to work in a 24/7 on-call schedule What will make you a good fit for the role?
