RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS : PSIRA Grade B certification essential Grade 12 or equivalent qualification Previous retail and investigation security experience essential minimum 5 years retail security management and minimum 5 years investigations experience Up to date health and safety knowledge and experience essential Strong and proven track record of managing the IR process of a large security team, up to and including CCMA reprepresentation Experience managing budgets and cost analysis Willing to work long hours Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in compiling and managing rosters for large teams working various shifts Computer literacy: MS Office essential Ability to communicate and present at all levels Clean credit and criminal record essential Experience working under severe pressure Drivers license and own reliable transport essential Extensive security experience managing high value loss prevention in a retail environment OSH qualification essential Main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Scheduling and rostering of guard force Client liaison and relationship management Ensuring staff issues are resolved and managed Manpower cost management Leading and managing high level investigations - Conducting investigations Threat and risk assessments Incident management Leading and managing full IR function for team Initiating and chairing disciplinary hearings CCMA representation for the company Maintenance of the ISO 9001 quality system Health and safety management Compiling and submitting regular and various reports Attending internal and client meetings Constant security advice to client and full support to Contract Manager Ensure complete compliance of the service as per clients service level agreement Ensure all staff are wearing the correct uniform at all times; Manage suspicious people and activities Ensure that a proper hand over is done from shift to shift; Attend to incidents as per reports of staff, surveillance and security On the job training with all security staff Posting sheet completion Ensure that equipment for staff members is in working condition and all faulty equipment reported Monitor radio and ensure all calls are attended to in a timely manner Ensure that all staff members on duty are in possession of required access and equipment Ensure the Supervisor on duty conducts system checks on all camera views and all faults are reported to surveillance Ensure all required footage regarding incidents and accidents are saved accordingly and that the footage is reserved on a weekly basis with surveillance Ensure key issue audits are conducted on regular basis and all errors rectified Ensure all staff have received the relevant training with regards to compliance and adherence to the required legislation and site requirements Attend meetings where required for operational purposes Package: Market related.
