OverviewOur client within the Financial Services Industry is seeking an Instructional Designer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials and training programs that effectively transfer knowledge and develop the necessary skills among learners. The role aims to align training materials and programs with the organization's goals and objectives, thereby contributing to overall performance improvement.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 / matricTertiary qualification would be advantageousETDP certificate or diploma is essentialCertification in L&D instructional design practices is advantageousMinimum 2 years designing and developing learning programs and materialsMinimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with e-learning authoring toolsMinimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with training assessment and evaluation processesMinimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with Learning Management Systems and PlatformsKnowledge of relevant Financial Services laws and regulations is advantageousJob ResponsibilitiesAssess training needs and develop appropriate training materialsApply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging training materialsDevelop eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutionsUse multimedia elements to enhance the learning experienceCollaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality of training materialsUse eLearning authoring tools and multimedia software to develop training contentCreate assessments and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomesRevise and update training materials based on evaluation results and feedbackL&D Management across the entire groupKey Competencies / SkillsAbility to use adult learning models, e.g., ADDIE, 6D's, or SAMExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsProficiency in using learning authoring toolsProficiency in using virtual training platforms (e.g., NewSpring LMS, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom)Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)Proficiency with relevant training assessment and evaluation processesStakeholder management skillsProblem-solving skillsCreative thinking skillsAnalytical thinking skillsDetail-orientedResilientTeam player with the ability to work independentlyPersonal learning agility
