Machine Setter Responsibilities:Assist the shift with operating the injection moulding machines, ancillaries, and automated assembly machinesEnsure machinery is safe, checked in accordance with maintenance logs, and repaired either permanently or temporarily in conjunction with the Maintenance DepartmentModify processes, where necessary, in order to achieve maximum production rates and quality standardsTo conform to culture and employee practiceLiaise with management, production planning, Quality Department, Toolroom, Maintenance, other team members, and other shifts with regard to tool changes, settings, operating procedures, and general running requirementsPerform tool changes/settings and the application of ancillaries in line with production requirementsConducting test runs with completed tools and dies.Adequate experience of ancillaries such as material feed systems, masterbatch dosing, chillers, mould heaters, pick and place robotic systems, granulators, conveyors, etc Experience of running automatic assembly lines would be an advantagePlastics raw material knowledge (handling, processing etc.)Perform safe interim repairs in the absence of Maintenance and the ToolroomMaintain a safe, healthy, clean and tidy environment for yourself and othersComplete training when requiredPerform any other reasonable task required by the Supervisor, Team Leader, senior managersRequirements:Matric PassMinimum 5 years experience in the fieldPlastics SA NQF level 3 or above completed learnership is advantageousPositive AttitudeGood work ethicTeam playerValid drivers licensePlastics raw material knowledge (handling, processing etc.)
