Role Overview: We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our merchandising department.
This role is key in streamlining and optimizing the manufacturing and distribution processes of our jewellery collections.
You will analyze and improve workflows, reduce waste, and ensure that production timelines meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Analyze, design, and implement improvements to the production and merchandising processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
Inventory Management: Develop strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time for jewellery production without excess stock.
Workflow Analysis: Study current manufacturing and merchandising workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to increase throughput while maintaining product quality.
Production Planning: Collaborate with the production team to create detailed production plans that align with customer demand and market trends.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze data on production, quality control, and inventory to create actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Cost Reduction: Lead initiatives to reduce material waste and operational costs through lean manufacturing principles.
Supplier Coordination: Work closely with the sourcing team to ensure timely procurement of materials and optimize the supply chain process.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet the company's rigorous standards of craftsmanship and excellence.
Technology Integration: Support the implementation of advanced technologies and automation in manufacturing to improve productivity and precision.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
3-5 years of experience in process improvement or production optimization, preferably in the manufacturing or retail sectors.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to think creatively.
Experience in the jewellery, luxury goods, or retail industry is a plus, but not required.
Excellent communication skills to work across departments including production, supply chain, and design teams.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Detail-oriented, with a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
