Inbound Direct Travel Specialist – Johannesburg North.Inbound Destination Management is looking for a Direct Travel Specialist with experience handling inbound bookings to Southern Africa for Direct Clients.
This role is based in Sandton.Requirements:Must have at least 5 years of reservation experience in an inbound tour operating environmentA good knowledge of any of the following destinations – Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, SeychellesA good knowledge of FIT and Groups policies and proceduresCommunication skills and a good command of the English languageTourplan reservations system; added advantageDuties include:Calm and professional interaction with both suppliers and travel planners, telephonically & via emailCreative and out-of-the-box planning and designing of itinerariesHandling reservation requests either by email or telephonicProcessing of reservations from quote to finalising, including reservations, invoicing and travel documentsProfessional servicing of dynamic direct guestsProactive selling of products and services ensuring the best possible safari for the guestBackup for colleagues when they are away from the officeExpanding product knowledge through attending training sessionsExtra info:Saturday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basisPublic holiday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basisWorking hours – shift work required (07:00 – 15:30 & 09:30 – 18:00) on a rotation basis
