What will you do?
Purpose of the role
We are looking for a vibrant and energetic individual to join our team. The role consists of duties related to assisting Portfolio Managers with their trades, index rebalancing and transactions - both local and foreign. The role requires an individual who has a high level of attention to detail. There will be opportunities for the incumbent to determine automation for certain processes.
Key responsibilities
Processing equity and fixed interest transactions, both local and foreign, i.e.:
Portfolio cash flows
Rebalancing
Month-end compliance trades
Trades for unit trusts and UCITS funds
Internal trades
Forex trades
Derivative trades
Implementing of model changes and trades
Dealing with Portfolio Manager queries
Resolving portfolio pre-trade compliance queries
Reconciliation updates on NX Manager
Updating dividends on NX Manager
Updating corporate events on NX Manager
Creating securities on NX Manager, i.e.:
Equities
Bonds
Derivatives
Processing derivative trades on NX Manager
Assisting with trades for index rebalancing
Assisting with foreign transactions related trades
Liaising with CURO on relevant issues
Clearing portfolio recon items between the back-office administration tool and NX Manager
Actively looking at automating check, capturing and the reconciliation processes
What will make you successful in this role?
Minimum requirements
Relevant Degree or Diploma (B.Com Finance / Accounting / Information Systems) will be advantageous
1 - 2 years' relevant experience within an asset management firm, bank or administration company is preferred
Computer literate in MS Office, NX Manager and HiPort
Basic knowledge of Python and Java scripting will be advantageous
Basic understanding of the markets
Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics will be advantageous

Qualification and Experience
Degree or Diploma with up to 2 years related experience.

Processing transactions and conduct simple calculations
Record keeping, filing and maintenance of databases
Script handling and compliance monitoring
Portfolio management query handling with clients
