We are hiring!Aon South Africa is hiring a Human Resources Officer at Head Office in Sandton, based on a hybrid basis.The role of the HR Officer is to support the Human Resources Business Partner in the effective implementation of the People Strategy.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeResponsibilities include the following:Supporting the Human Resources Business Partner in providing a one-point contact for all Business Unit/ Regional employee issues/ requirements by leading, developing and improving day to day relationships.Supporting the Human Resources Business Partner in providing advice and support in the development, planning, implementation and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques to enable provision of sound human resources expertise.Ensuring knowledge of key principles, processes, tools and governance framework in respect of performance management and career planning.Assisting the Human Resources Business Partner in ensuring that the Performance Management process is understood by line managers and employees and is embedded in the business.Assisting with the development of performance improvement plans where necessary.Assisting employees with career development plans.Assisting with developing detailed succession plans for critical levels together with line management and Human Resources Business Partner.Working closely with Learning & Development to implement and execute development plans that promote career enhancement and succession planning.Promoting the Aon Leadership Model, culture and organization's principles.Assisting in achieving and implementing Employment Equity Plans in partnership with line management and Human Resources Business Partner.Assisting with maintaining effective job profiling for all positions.Attending to all exit processes, conduct exit interviews, analyze information and address issues where possible.Continuously liaising with employees and teams in an effort to improve engagement.Communicating the Wellness offering to employees and line managers on a proactive basis.Assisting the Human Resources Business Partner with all internal employee relations matters (disciplinary/ grievance/ incapacity processes, workplace disputes, performance management, absenteeism etc.) within the applicable legislation and company policies in order to ensure a healthy employer/ employee relationship which keeps internal disciplinary hearings, CCMA and Labour Court referrals to a minimum.Reviewing existing HR related processes and procedures and developing new processes and policies and procedures when required.Manage and complete ad-hoc HR projects.Responsible for the end-to-end long service award process.Responsible for Payroll input/ administration (including medical aid and provident fund administration processes).How this opportunity is differentAs an Aon colleague, you will never be limited by your job title.
