Human Resources Lead | Fmcg Retail

The role of Human Resources Lead is at the Practitioner level and reports to the Principal Operations Manager and will oversee a small cohesive HR team. This role services the Motherwell, Humansdorp, KwaDwezi, Bethelsdorp and Somerset East retail hubs. YOUR FUTURE ROLE: This exciting role incorporates both the business and human aspects of HR Operations and Training. The emphasis of this role is focused on employee relations which incorporates staff training, staff wellness and or morale (EAP), union relationships, disciplinary hearings, and facilitating on-site and online workshops. “It is essential that the individual is a business person who happens to wear an “HR hat”, as opposed to an HR purist with a one-function perspective. This must include a ‘can do’ mentality where HR is a key contributor to the bottom line, and where HR does not restrain the entrepreneurial spirit, pace, growth or dynamism within the organisation.” KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: To drive the HR strategic agenda of Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Reward and Recognition, Engagement with team members and business partnerships (mentoring). The HR Lead role is a strategic position, which partners with the Regional Coach and their team of Area Coaches to deliver the People Plan for the EC Region. Recruitment and Selection (20%) Training and Development (25%) Engage (25%) Partner (20%) Industrial Relations (10%) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES: 4 years of generalist HR experience, ideally gained within a multi-site, customer-focused business. Tertiary qualification and/or IPD is advantageous. The ability to speak an African language is highly advantageous. Previous working experience in a remote/ field-based HR role is desirable. Prepared to travel in and around the Eastern Cape. Driver’s license and own vehicle. SA Citizen with a clear criminal history.
