Human Resources Practitioner
Cape Town / Winelands (with work from home days)

Your role as HR practitioner will be to support talent management within the organization as an important member of the HR team to optimize operations and everyday processes such as recruitment as well as implement Human Resources policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:
•Work closely with HR Manager and HR Administrator to provide effective process, practice and systems.
•Facilitate the recruitment process as set down as a HR process.
•Facilitate employee health and welfare plans.
•Produce and submit reports on general HR activity and statutory requirements.
•Ensure HR programmes and services are in compliance with established policies and procedures.
•Build relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

Strategic impact
Support the HR development strategies and plans
•Support the implementation of HRM plans aimed at improving the working environment.
•Implement talent management and performance management initiatives that meet internal needs.
•Support HR policy development and interpretation; assisting with defining and communicating roles and responsibilities for all functions.
•Support the HR Manager to devise plans and techniques to drive change and culture management.

Operational and progress effectiveness
Provide an efficient and effective HR support service
•Resource and onboard: Facilitate the resourcing and contracting process in order to ensure that a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is followed.
•Ensure HR related problems are solved quickly, and information provided on time.
•Update HR operating systems timeously to ensure data integrity.
•Generate key insights through analysis of monthly HR data and highlight key trends to the HRM.
•Assist with the development and coordination of recommended changes regarding workflow.
•Present training sessions related to specific HR related programmes.

Stakeholder management
Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
•Foster good relations with employee and management levels and for HR to be viewed as a trusted business partner for support and service.
•Build and maintain productive relationships with key external partners and stakeholders to achieve collaboration on a number of matters.

People growth
Promote the HR strategy and take personal responsibility for own performance and development
•Provide guidance to employees in translating business requirements into human capital priorities.
•Create an environment of recognition, involvement and growth thereby instilling the right behaviour and practices towards safety and living the organization values.
•Drive own development, actively participate in forums to ensure knowledge and skills remain current.

REQUIREMENTS
•National Diploma in Human Resources (or equivalent) B-degree in Human Resources.
•Minimum 5 years generalist HR experience.
•Knowledge and full understanding of: HR functions and best practices; Process development and systems application; Sound understanding of regulation and compliance; Payroll system (VIP Sage) is advantageous.
•Technologically astute – HRIS, industry standard HR software, Microsoft Office, payroll tools.
•Excellent written communication skills for correspondence, reports and HR content.
•Solid understanding of research methods and analysis.
•Experience with HR project management.
