Johannesburg - The main purpose of this position is to provide advice to Managers and Employees to maximize performance and ensure legislative compliance. It contributes value-adding deliverables to the business by contributing to the development; implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices, thus providing efficient, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to the business.

DUTIES:

Responsible for supporting the implementation and embedding of local and regional strategies, plans and initiatives as part of the HR operational plan.
Support the Human Resources Director to develop local HR strategies and tactics to address business needs in line with the regional HR direction.
Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are implemented in order to support the Company.
Excellerate business strategies and plans and provide generalist advice and service to business units regarding relevant legislation and policies.
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices which provide a consistent and approach across the Region and the Company.
Support the business to achieve legislative compliance in relation to industrial and employee relations including providing recommendations, advice and support relating to investigations, discipline/termination of employees and managing complaints and grievances.
Work closely with team members, to implement processes, systems, and programs in the discipline of competency model design, talent assessment, employee engagement, succession planning, employee and leadership development, performance management, diversity, and collaboration.
Support managers to ensure the successful on-boarding of all new and relocated employees in line with the Company’s on-boarding process.
Ensure that all HR projects planned are delivered in accordance with set guidelines and targets in respective area.
Manage the staff exit process including the analysis of exit interview data and make recommendations to management for corrective action.
Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements, and act as a role model for Company values and behaviours and keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation and to understand the impact thereof on the business.
REQUIREMENTS:

Experience working in a multinational company with African Experience.
B-Tech, Diploma or Relevant HR Degree
3-5 Years HR Generalist experience
Core knowledge of HR principles, theories, and concepts
Handling of Disciplinary Procedures
Experience in Performance Management
Experience in employee relations and change management.
Exposure with an HRIS system
Experience in similar services and industry is a plus.
