My client in the tax services industry is seeking a HR Generalist / Manager to join their team. This is a high energy, fast paced environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related preferred.
10 years of experience in HR related role (essential).
Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
Excellent record keeping skills.
Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Superb computer literacy with capability in email and MS Office.
Remarkable organisational and conflict management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Holistically attending to the full HR spectrum.
Work with the Senior Management to determine workforce needs, identify human resource and competency gaps, and devise a development and workforce plan to facilitate staff retention.
Designing company policies and setting objectives for the company as well as HR strategic planning.
Plan / improve and implement employee benefit, payroll, health, and safety programs.
Staff care: Develop supportive plans of action as part of the overall response strategy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to support employee relations & discipline whilst monitoring and creating a healthy work environment. Recommendations in this plan should address actionable activities and advice to support the morale and the social, physical, and psychological well-being of staff.
Serve as the primary source of HR knowledge in response to employee and/or supervisor requests, be well versed in HR Policies, and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates and cost-per-hire) as required.
HR administration & compliance: Maintain HR documents, platforms, and databases etc.
Overseeing the full cycle recruitment process by assisting the Head of Recruitment with various tasks including job offers and contracts as well as support and recommendations for improvements.
Design and action interesting onboarding sessions and processes for new recruits.
Serve as a first point of contact for all new employees and guiding them on the principals and culture of the company including orientation and Induction.
Lead all employee relations with professional grace. Act as an impartial mediator in disciplinary procedures and lead investigations to resolve issues/conflict in the workplace.
Lead exit management procedure to ensure seamless and positive transition for departing employees.
