A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Housing Policy & Research Manager to join one of Badenoch & Clark's biggest growing housing clients in a permanent role.

Based in Central London, this is a full time and varied role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and our client is looking for a experienced, highly competent manager who can work pro-actively, demonstrating initiative and an ability to progress multiple projects. You will play a role in the development and implementation of strategies, policies and processes and be a team player and flexible in your approach.

Key duties include:

*Being responsible for developing and delivering a research programme to support the housing and maintenance operations.
*Keeping up to date with legislation changes and housing policy.
*Being responsible for the implementation of best practice in housing, including investigating and evaluating initiatives undertaken by other bodies.
*Identifying areas for policy development and leading with reviews of policies and procedures.
*Ensuring GDPR compliance in all matters.
*Being responsible for the preparation and implementation of the company's housing services and maintenance policies and contributing to other strategies and processes.
*The confidence to engage and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at senior level.
*The ability to analyse and comprehend complex and lengthy information to Executive Team and Board.
*Able to manage multiple and complex tasks, work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
*Having excellent statistical and analytical skills and an understanding of key research methodologies
*Carrying out policy analysis and writing skills, including speech writing, writing briefings and developing policy from research and member engagement.

Although there isn't a team to manage at present, long term you will be expected to manage, recruit, train, motivate, develop and line-manage staff.

Key personal skills needed:

*Strong educational background and confident in IT.
*Experienced in working and leading on projects, with a sound knowledge of housing and social policy.
*Analytical mind with knowledge of the law.
*Ability to work on complex strategy and policy development.
*Experienced in drafting briefings and reports.
*Housing policy writing is essential
