Well-known multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Hospital Sales Representative to cover the Gauteng and Pretoria area.
This is a contract role.Position Info:1-3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience calling on hospitals.Key accounts experience is an advantage.Responsibilities:This is a commercial role focused on providing educational scientific engagements and services to healthcare professionals in pre-selected public provincial and tertiary hospitals across South Africa.Create awareness of hospital, inflammation, and immunology portfolios; improve advocacy; support formulary listing; mobilize resources swiftly to meet customer needs.Support access to innovative medicines, enhancing the experience of KOLs, prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses, thereby improving patient outcomes.Act as the main contact point for customers within the selected hospitals.Conduct team introductory calls and establish reactive and proactive subject matter expert connections.Represent the company, mainly covering hospital, inflammation, and immunology portfolios, with some support on related products.Drive portfolios for business growth and build advocacy among healthcare professionals within hospitals.Customer Relationship Building:Identify key customers, decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers within hospitals.Understand hospital decision-making networks to facilitate coordination and cooperation.Disseminate information through omnichannel communication preferred by customers.Engage with customers both in person and virtually to develop relationships.Onboard customers to new operating models and respond to their requests by collaborating with cross-functional teams.Explore customer insights, needs, and drivers to identify collaborative programs aligning with commercial goals.Maintain an open, transparent, and high-integrity business environment to strengthen the company's reputation.Become a local expert on hospital and portfolio products to foster credible relationships and identify business opportunities.Core Customers Include:Pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and procurement teams.Theatre staff, including anesthetists and surgeons.HCPs such as microbiologists, infectious disease specialists, physicians, pulmonologists, and intensivists.ICU staff, including physicians and nurses.Customer Capacity Building:Achieve sales objectives for designated hospitals.Ensure appropriate utilization and dispensing of medicines.Present clinical effectiveness, outcomes, and commercial value compellingly to key decision-makers.Work with customers to implement treatment guidelines where applicable.Managing Hospitals:Develop, implement, monitor, and evolve individual hospital business plans aligned with business objectives and strategies.Lead the development and execution of hospital market expansion activities.Identify additional resources needed to meet plans and address customer needs.Conduct monthly performance reviews and adjust strategies accordingly.Cross Functional Support:Coordinate with internal teams such as HRMs, CBLs, medical colleagues, and KAMs.Follow compliance processes to develop collaborative hospital programs.Provide insights to shape country brand and customer strategies.Record interactions and initiatives in performance plans.Share customer insights with the wider team.
