The Sales People is building a high-performance sales environment in Cape Town, and we're looking for a leader to run it.This is an internal leadership role within The Sales People, responsible for building and managing our sales floor and revenue operations in South Africa.We hire, train and embed ambitious sales talent into VC-backed startups and high-growth tech companies.
As we expand our presence in Cape Town, we're looking for someone who can build the structure, culture and performance standards that power a world-class sales floor.You will work closely with the founder (UK-based) to shape our go-to-market strategy, build a repeatable sales motion and lead the commercial growth of The Sales People locally.This role combines hands-on selling, leadership and operational ownership.You won't be inheriting a finished system.You'll be helping it.What You'll DoAs Head of Sales, you'll lead the day-to-day operations and performance of our Cape Town sales floor.You will:Manage and run the sales floor environment, ensuring strong activity, focus and performanceCoach and develop SDRs and sales talent embedded with our tech clientsContribute to the sales strategy and commercial growth of The Sales PeopleBuild and manage pipeline from prospecting through to closingDevelop repeatable sales processes, playbooks and reportingHelp hire and develop the next generation of high-performing sales talentThis is a foundational leadership role with real ownership over how our sales operation grows in South Africa.Who This Is ForWe value commercial instinct, leadership and execution over titles.This role is best suited for someone who:Has experience closing B2B deals and leading revenue growthIs comfortable running a high-performance sales floorThrives in startup environments where things are still being builtWants to build something from scratch rather than inherit a teamIs both strategic and highly hands-onHas some leadership/management experience and wants to take the next step upWe back ability, drive and ownership over polished CVs.You'll succeed here if you have:~6+ years experience in B2B salesA proven track record of closing dealsExperience building pipeline through outbound prospectingStrong commercial judgment and negotiation skillsLeadership ability and a passion for developing sales talentComfort operating in fast-moving startup environmentsWhat We OfferA foundational leadership role within The Sales PeopleThe opportunity to build and run a high-performance sales floorDirect collaboration with the founder and leadership teamStrong earning potential linked to company growthExposure to fast-scaling startups and venture-backed tech companiesAbout The Sales PeopleThe Sales People builds high-performing sales teams for ambitious tech companies.We hire, train and embed sales talent into VC-backed startups and scaling SaaS businesses, helping them build repeatable revenue engines.Our leadership team has hired and scaled sales functions across unicorns, high-growth SaaS companies and venture-backed startups.We're now building the same high-performance sales environment in Cape Town.
