As the Head of Procurement, you will manage the procurement department to ensure that the right products and stock are available at the right time, price and branch.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director.Key Duties Include:Management of buying and procurement staff and departmentsEnsure the effective delivery of procurement plansSet performance targets for the procurement departmentManage and strengthen the strategic procurement plan and execute strategic partnerships with stakeholdersAnalyse stock trends and stock turnoverEvaluate supplier performance and implement improvements or changesSuggest import stock for branchesManage procurement processes for effective stock holdingResolve stock shortage issuesEnsure compliance with ISO and B-BBEE as well as legislative compliance, and assist Auditors as requiredIdentify cost-saving opportunitiesStock managementEducation Requirements:Completed Matric (Grade 12)Relevant tertiary qualification in procurement preferredJob Requirements and Skills:7 to 8 years' experience within a senior procurement role5 to 6 years management experience essentialExperience within electrical, alternative energy or industrial industries essentialStrong imports experience and knowledge essentialStrong MS Excel skillsKerridge or K8, or similar industry system experienceDeadline drivenAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTeam playerApply now!
