Role Function
?As the Head of People Optimisation, you would ensure strategic alignment with people strategy and develop best practice research, methodologies, policies, procedures and governance frameworks to achieve throughout a large organisation.
?In addition to strategic, data orientated analysis, insights and reporting, the role provides tactical day to day support to the operational and divisional HR teams to enable optimal cost and productivity management through the interpretation and application of data driven insights to inform decision making.
?You will be accountable for oversight of the finance function for the HR team and broader related departmental costs.
?You will create optimisation models to anticipate long term costing implications to enable proactive resource and cost related decision making.
?You will be required to provide day to day support to the HR Executive.

Duties
?Employee centric delivery on all functions including developing meaningful insights, providing day to day support (ensuring optimal cost and productivity management through the interpretation and application of data driven insights to inform decision making and service delivery) and overseeing finance and accounting services for HR and ensuring activities are executed in line with policies and procedures.
?The scope of the role will include supporting the HR Executive to ensure optimal outputs of the operational teams and engaging with the COO’s and Divisional Leadership to ensure that all HR goals are adhered to.
?Driving the analysis of data and trends both internally within the company and externally to diagnose people issues and inform recommendations into effective solutions for the company, in collaboration with the Solutions and Services team.
?Apply and/or provide People cost and productivity management advice as input into the development of business cases for new concepts and proposals.
?Ensuring the development and maintenance of labour standards used to inform the labour planning system.
?Devising new applications and/or overseeing the current labour planning, scheduling, time and attendance management processes and systems for the company.
?Developing and leading yourself, the People Optimisation team and the greater organisation to ensure effective solutions and services are delivered and driving enablement of an innovative, agile and employee centric culture where employees are supported, empowered and valued within the team (including employee wellness and transparency of open communications)
?Managing Finance, Reporting and BI for the department
?Developing a budget for People Optimisation.
?Approving People Optimisation expenditure as defined in the delegation of authority ensuring effective cost controls and monitoring mechanisms.
?Managing People Optimisation costs whilst balancing the need for optimal service delivery to operations.
?Driving the collection and use of people data and business intelligence to transform the delivery of People Optimisation and to help guide organisational decisions and priorities.
?Ensuring the timely development and distribution of relevant HR reports within the company.
?Ensuring the People Optimisation team complies with relevant labour relations frameworks and legislation.
?Ensuring compliance to organisational and legislative governance frameworks and standards applicable to the HR function.
?Implementing People Optimisation governance structures, policies, processes, procedures and frameworks.
?Overseeing the identification and mitigation of key people optimisation risks.
?Ensuring People Optimisation is appropriately structured and resourced to deliver on its mandate with the right people in the right roles with the right capabilities at the right time.
?Ensuring People Optimisation integration and effective flow of work with other HR frameworks/ practices and business.
?Ensuring continuous improvement across the People Optimisation value chain.
?Overseeing identification of relevant People Optimisation technology requirements to enable a seamless experience.

Minimum Requirements:
?Completed Degree & Postgraduate Degree in HR/ Finance/ Industrial Eng/ Bus Sci
?8+ years’ experience in an HR strategic and tactical resourcing, financial management/ cost modelling or data BI orientated role, leading and/or participating in business, viability and opportunity analysis including optimisation of resources (i.e., people and cost)
?A solid history of driving HR optimisation within a large, national or international organisation (preference to Retail/ FMCG/ Call Centre, where there is an understanding of the principles of sales/ service capacity planning and optimised forecasting)
?Stable knowledge of trending best practices relating to HR Data and BI, HR Financial Management, Accounting and Costing or Workforce Optimisation models
?Exposure to statutory requirements, applying and monitoring relevant laws, regulations and best practices as they relate to Group Productivity, Labour and Resourcing models. Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, legislation and regulations.
?A sound understanding of diversity and inclusion concepts and processes and the link between Employment Equity and good HR practices. Exposure to how employment equity impacts B-BBBEE levels.
