This position requires a high-performance driven professional with a strong background in operations management and a deep understanding of impact measurement in the social sector.ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee and optimise the operationalisation of the Mr Price Foundation strategyDevelop and implement operational strategies aligned with the Foundation's strategy and goalsEnsure efficient resource allocation and utilisation across all programsImplement and maintain robust operational systems and processes (standard procedures)Create and maintain operational policies and procedures that promote organisational effectivenessEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all Foundation programsGovernance and ReportingPrepare comprehensive quarterly and annual board reportsCoordinate and oversee board meeting preparation and documentationEnsure timely submission of all statutory reports and regulatory filingsMaintain proper documentation of board decisions and follow-up actionsSupport the development of board governance frameworks and policiesImpact Measurement and EvaluationDesign and implement a comprehensive impact measurement framework for all Foundation programsLead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of program dataDevelop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and inform decision-makingPrepare and present accurate impact reports to the Board, donors, and other stakeholdersCollaborate with the Communications department to produce the Foundation's annual reportGenerate insights and recommendations based on impact assessment and research findingsDevelop impact reports for various stakeholders including donors and partnersContribute to the integration of learning outcomes into program design and executionProgram Support and EnhancementWork closely with program teams to ensure operational efficiency and effectivenessIdentify opportunities for program improvement based on impact data and operational insightsSupport the development and scaling of high-impact programsFacilities ManagementOversee the management and maintenance of the Foundation's physical facilitiesEnsure a safe and productive work environment for all associatesManage relationships with Mr Price Group Real Estate team and/or landlordsDevelop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategyIdentify, assess, and mitigate operational and programmatic risksEnsure business continuity planning and crisis management protocols are in placeLegal and ComplianceManage all legal aspects of the Foundation's operationsEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Foundation policiesOversee contract management and intellectual property mattersImplement and maintain appropriate governance structuresEngage and collaborate with Mr Price Groups legal and company secretary officesLead the foundation's technology strategy and digital transformation initiativesCollaborate with Mr Price Group IP to ensure the Foundation has secure and efficient IT solutionsOversee data management and digital security protocolsOversee the implementation of operational systems and technologiesEnsure data management and reporting systems are effectiveDrive digital transformation initiatives where applicableMaintain information security and data protection measuresOptimize operational processes through technology adoptionHuman Resources ManagementOversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee developmentCollaborate with Mr Price Group People's team to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulationsFoster a positive organisational culture aligned with the Foundation's valuesLead, mentor, and develop the operations and impact measurement teamFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learningManage team performance and professional developmentQualificationsPost Graduate qualification in Business Administration, Operations Management, Development Studies, Social Impact, Monitoring & Evaluation or related field (MBA/MBL preferred)Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in operations management and impact measurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleProven track record in implementing successful operational strategies in the non-profit or social impact sectorStrong understanding of the South African development landscape and CSI best practicesUnderstanding of South African NPO legislation and regulations, familiarity with B-BBEE codes and reporting and sustainable development goals (SDGs).Experience with data analysis, monitoring and evaluation methodologiesKnowledge of program design methodologies, impact metric measurement, HR management, IT systems, legal compliance, and risk management in the non-profit sectorSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionResearch, Business Development, and ManagementIndustries: Retail and Retail Apparel and Fashion
