Job Purpose

To provide strategic vision, operational leadership to Portfolio Planning, Management, function, focusing available workforce talent to engineering skillset. To produce management information, insights for executive use, ensuring a fact base for decision making. To develop, implement culture, change programs meeting strategic, tactical business objectives. To facilitate ETS strategy definition, management, monitor strategy execution, consistent, effective approach to the way value is delivered.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Design framework, processes and protocols to implement internal communication and formal external communication. Formulate plans to inculcate the desired service culture, align and direct delivery of the internal communication strategy and support Service Portfolio Heads and Country engagement teams with communication as required.
- Maximize the likelihood of successfully implementing sustainable change quickly and with reduced risk, covering the complete lifecycle of the change and all affected stakeholders in ETS and external if required. Key focus on human resources within ETS to fulfil the service promise.
- Collaborate with HC, Service Portfolio and Function Heads to maintain performance and incentive and recognition alignment on a team and individual basis.
- Collaborate with HC, Group Technology practices, Service Portfolio and Function Heads to plan appropriate future fit skills within the overall Group shared execution portfolio, maintaining skills views and identifying workforce partnering opportunities.
- Put in place and manage service culture, mobilisation and onboarding processes to facilitate effective service delivery and flexible staffing and partnership models. Focus on key elements for induction, access to systems, and process and culture communication. via knowledge management tools and processes.
Risk, Regulatory, Prudential & Compliance
- Develop specific presentations on performance and progress of the portfolio, for multiple forums, boards and committees. Analysis, interpret strategy, metrics and spend to provide insights, lead governance and formal external reporting,
- Establishing the requisite governance forums and processes in support (strategic, tactical & operational) to provide an effective service integration and management function enabling the Group Technology operating model.
- Develop quality, optimisation and reporting frameworks for services, assessing efficacy of Service management within the Group shared execution function.
- Oversee and ensure that the Group Technology Risk Management minimum standard is adhered to. Drive and champion a positive risk culture and attitude within the teams.
- Actively participate in relevant risk governance forums including providing necessary input and escalating relevant risk issues. Establish appropriate risk oversight and governance processes and structures within the area.
- Ensuring a strategy plan that aligns with Group Technology strategy and ETS value proposition and vision. Monitor strategy execution, ensure a consistent, effective approach to the way value is delivered aligning with Group Technology Strategy, Change and Agile Transformation stakeholders and objectives.
- Lead the development of people capacity management models aiming to achieve the desired balance between reliance on in-house versus flexible capacity. Model, monitor and consolidate workforce planning to maintain the required supply of resources matched with contracted demand. Workforce planning and flexible staffing models.
- Champion fungibility to deploy engineering capabilities across service portfolio's, products or projects where most needed, supporting service delivery and service owners with insight to the skills available, overall demand view and work rate of resources.
- Oversee the execution of high-impact, strategic programs or initiatives within Engineering Technology Services and Regional Service Hubs, collaborating with Regional CIO structures and Country Service integration and engagement teams.
Technology & Architecture
- Collaborate with the Service Portfolio and Function Heads to aggregate and visualise cross service delivery by directing the creation and maintenance of the integrated delivery plan. Proactively identify conflicts and dependencies between initiatives to optimise value and achieve highest efficiency of resources, by engaging with key stakeholders.
- Implement and manage frameworks, tools and technology to facilitate measurement and Service dashboards, reporting processes, systems and dashboards to Service & Commercial Management and Service owner requirements.
- Produce Management information and insights to recommend improving internal processes and delivery of excellent service linking with Service improvement initiatives.
- Implement and maintain tools and technology to enable digital dissemination for sharing of internal processes and community of practice information etc (Sharepoint)
- Aligns with Group Technology Strategy function and is accountable to ensure that tools, standards and WoW are implemented across Engineering Technology Services. Ensures integration and providing insights, oversight and governance. Focuses on ideas, principles and messages that are required to ensure consistency in doing the right things and doing things right
- Establish and mature the capability that will develop and maintain a consolidated view of supply and demand, facilitating key resourcing decisions in order to manage impact on service delivery and prioritisation.
- Provide a single view of the overall book of work, delivery roadmap and portfolio plan for Engineering Technology Services by setting up integrated planning and co-ordination processes across all Service owners through aggregation of Portfolio and Programme roadmaps and plans developed by Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and Service Portfolio Heads/Leads.
- Analyse the overall portfolio velocity and performance, providing insights and recommending approaches to achieve optimal efficiency in the application of resources (time, people and investment) and Agile ways of working.
- Define, monitor and aggregate key performance indicators at a portfolio and programme level, sharing insights with key stakeholders that will facilitate decision making with regard to managing the service delivery across all the portfolios and functions.
- Develop a management tool identifying and aggregating KPI's (Strategic, operational and Portfolio delivery) to measure productivity, cost and risks. Design and administer surveys, country satisfaction index to inform data based decision making to improve service experience.
Financial Management
- Responsible for directing the preparation, review and consolidation of business plans and budgets for Engineering Technology Services. Analysis, interpret strategy, metrics and spend to provide insights. Ensures financial recoveries are processed, working closely with the Service and Commercial Management Function and Group IT Finance team.
Organisation Design
-Management of the Portfolio Management, MIS, insights, internal change and business enablement team, determining effective operating model, team and individual roles and responsibilities, relevant policy and procedures.
Preferred Qualification and Experience

- Post Grad Diploma in Business Management
- Post Grad Degree in Information Studies/ Information Technology
- Relevant industry specific certification
5-7 years:
- Experience in development and implementation of service contracting, measurement, quality and reporting frameworks, Continuous improvement, innovation and service optimisation.
8-10 years:
- Prior experience managing large teams providing managed services to customers. Experience in managing vendors/suppliers of professional IT services Leadership/management experience across multiple geographies.Preferred delivery experience across African Continent and client service/relationship. management experience
- Significant experience managing technology in large multi-dimensional corporate environment, preferably financial industry, Managing delivery of 3rd parties and Africa Region experience. Industry and market knowledge. Proven experience working in a multi-vendor and outsourced IT environment. Leadership working with individuals from diverse cultures.
