Purpose of the Job:The successful H.R./I.R. Officer will report to the National H.R. / I.R. Manager. The H.R./I.R. Officer will be responsible for providing effective H.R./I.R. support within the Western Cape Branch.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:H.R. FUNCTIONS: Enforce the Companys Code of Conduct Capturing and Processing of all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc. Ensure stringent follow ups via Employees/Ops Teams/Hospitals/Funds/Department of Labour on all Injuries on Duties, Provident Fund Claims, Funeral Claims, Death Claims, Disability, Retirement and Provident Fund Withdrawal Claims etc Scheduling of Disciplinary Enquiries Submission of weekly and monthly statistics to the National H.R./I.R. Manager Assisting with Recruitment and Selection Process as requested by the National H.R./I.R. Manager Supportive advice to the Ops Team pertaining to HR-related issuesI.R. FUNCTIONS: Conducting of any and all Disciplinary Enquiries, unless, otherwise authorized by the National H.R./I.R. Manager Ensure that Discipline is practiced consistently by actively engaging with Compliance Officers pertaining to warnings, counselling, etc Representing the company at CCMA level, if and when required Submission of weekly and monthly statistics to the National H.R./I.R. Manager Supportive advice to the Ops Team pertaining to IR-related issues Weekly audit of the Operations Disciplinary Register and reporting of any discrepancies pertaining to suchMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Matric Certified 3-5 years of direct H.R. experience in the Security/Cleaning/Parking Industry 3-5 years of direct I.R. experience in the Security/Cleaning/Parking Industry 3-5 years of solid C.C.M.A. Experience including representation at Arbitrations(A proven track record is mandatory) Relevant Degree/ Diploma will be advantageous Solid Computer Proficiency Drivers License Code 08 and own reliable vehicleCOMPETENCIES: Excellent People Management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid knowledge of current Legislation: L.RA./BCEA/EEA/SD6, etc. Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards within a diverse workplace Excellent Organizational Skills in order to meet deadlines Problem Solving Skills
