Leading global manufacturing and distribution concern in KZN seeks Group Warehouse and Logistics Manager responsible for all warehousing and logistics operations, HO and Admin. Mgmt. of all insurance related matters pertaining to the company as well as the mgmt. of the company fleet to ensure overall costs are contained and sufficient support is provided to departments to meet company objectives.
Duties:
Ensure efficient and cost-effective branch, CDC & Head Office operations within prescribed company policies, procedures & company delegations whilst providing overall support to Sales Department to achieve set objectives
Optimisation of transportation and distribution costs
Management of Company Fleet to ensure optimal usage within prescribed budget / Leasing parameters & Insurance
Management of Company Fleet to ensure optimal usage within prescribed budget / Leasing parameters & Insurance
Management of company insurance
Management of all Head Office facilities including air conditioner, electrical & sanitation
Interaction and communication with Landlord relating to issues raised
Management of Sub-Tennant operational requirement
Invoicing & Management of all sub-tenants’ rentals
Processing all Domestic Pricing credit notes on SAP
Processing all Export Credit notes on SAP
Liaising with internal audit department regarding all noncompliance issues raised
Factory Scrap Revenue Management
Producing regular reports and/or statistics on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
Produce accurate ad-hoc reports if requested
Manage and justify any changes to management budget
Approve and control use of extra workforce during strikes, peak times, etc. & obtaining relevant approvals where applicable
Management approval of manpower performance and requirements to ensure consistent achievement of customer levels.
Prepare presentations when the occasion calls for it
Provide leadership to the department through goal setting, capabilities development, performance feedback and career planning, help recruit and retain competent and high performing staff in order to ensure departmental service delivery and achievement of departmental goals
Requirements:
Masters in Supply Chain or Logistics
BCom Hons Degree in Business Admin, Supply Chain and Logistics
8 Years’ experience in managing supply chain, logistics and warehousing.
Experience optimising logistics costs and route to market
MS Office and SAP
Travel required
