Group Accountant

An esteemed merchant banking group based in the UK is expanding its Asset Finance & Leasing Finance Team. They're looking for a Group Accountant to work remotely in the Western Cape. As a Group Accountant, you'll collaborate closely with the Finance Manager to fulfill monthly financial control and reporting requirements for the company's diverse portfolio of businesses.Roles & Responsibilities:Ensure timely completion of monthly deliverables with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Conduct monthly accounting procedures, ensuring proper cost allocation and recording.Prepare variance analysis explanations and monthly business performance commentary for financial statements.Collaborate with the Tax team to provide necessary information for tax calculations.Prepare and review Interim and Year-end Financial Reporting Packs as required by Group Finance.Compile quarterly FINREP reports and other regulatory submissions for review and approval.Prepare submission packs for regulatory bodies such as BoE, PRA, and FCA.Contribute to AF&L central workstreams, identifying and implementing best practices across the team.Drive process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.Requirements:Qualified CA (SA) or CGMA.Exceptional Excel skills, with proficiency in V-lookups, Pivot tables, and Index-Match.Knowledge of Asset Finance, Banking, or Financial Services industries (preferred, but not essential)Experience with SAP (ECC and BEX), Alteryx, and Tableau (preferred, but not essential)Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Autonomy and proactiveness in your work approach.Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to uncover insights from data.Salary and other benefits:R50 000 - R70 000 / month CTC (based on relevant experience).#J-18808-Ljbffr
