General Supervisor – Terminal Operations - Maritime

Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise all operational activities during the shift, including vessel loading/unloading and yard movementsAllocate berthing positions in collaboration with yard planners and oversee safe docking proceduresDirect and coordinate a team of up to 100 workers, including shift supervisors, foremen, operators, and dockersMonitor and optimise the use of equipment and labour to ensure timely and safe execution of cargo handlingManage delivery operations and warehouse coordinationConduct regular checks on work quality, safety, and compliance with standard operating proceduresLiaise with key stakeholders such as shipping agents, consignees, surveyors, port authorities, and service providersIdentify bottlenecks and propose improvements as part of a lean and continuous improvement mindsetPerform limited administrative tasks including reviewing packing lists, stowage plans, and documentation controlExperience and QualificationsMinimum of 6 years experience in maritime, port, or terminal operationsProven supervisory or team leadership experience in high-volume operational settingsSolid exposure to breakbulk, RoRo (roll-on/roll-off), and project cargo environmentsAbility to work outdoors and lead hands-on operations over extended periodsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Terminal Operating Systems (Navis, MTN, EXB) is an advantageFluent in English (minimum B2 level); Arabic is a plusBachelors degree or equivalent relevant qualification preferredSalary5,000 6,000 per month (netto), inclusive of shift allowance (paid 12 times per year)Performance-based bonus up to 1 months salary, linked to operational results and attendance
