General Manager (Senior Management) Hospitality Nelspruit, Lowveld Salary negotiable depending on experience Urgent Exciting Opportunity for a General Manager to Join our Dynamic Team at a renowned hospitality concern in the Greater Nelspruit area. The ideal incumbent should have extensive business management experience at a senior or executive level and willing to drive change towards the next growth phase of this landmark establishment. Requirements: At least a NQF6, preferably a relevant NQF7 qualification ,i.e. B.Com in business management or similar. Prior senior management experience, at least 5 years Great written and verbal language proficiency and communication Numerical Proficiency Computer Literate Financial Acumen Ability to work under pressure and enjoy working shifts Key Responsibilities: Achieve High Standards within the accommodation, conference, restaurant, and facilities by ensuring that all employees are focused on exceeding customer expectations for Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product and Speed of Service. Manage all operations including: shifts and costs controls in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures maximising sales, operating efficiency and profitability Continuous improvement of existing systems. Forecast and schedule labour by shift and create a deployment plan to control labour costs and still meet the needs of the business. Ensure that controls and procedures are implemented to protect the safety and security of employees, customers, property, and company funds. Facilitate training programmes for all staff to company standard to enable them to maximise performance and realise their career potential. Initiate action where necessary to ensure that all employees meet the standards of performance required Support and act as a role model to employees, providing leadership as necessary. Ensure legislative compliance Achieve consistent results through team management and leadership Act on behalf of executive director from time to time to ensure seamless management.
