Minimum requirements for the role:
Bachelors Degree or related in either Engineering or a Business-related tertiary qualification is preferred.
Previous experience having worked in a General Manager Operations Management role, Managing a Manufacturing Plant and having a good understanding of the Operational and technical aspects of the Plant is essential.
Previous experience having Managed and run a Blow Moulding Plant is preferred but not essential.
The successful candidate must be resilient, be a team player, accept accountability for planning, execution, quality, safety and transparency.
Computer literacy is essential.
The successful candidate must have a strong Financial and Business acumen with some training on P & Ls and Project profitability assessments.
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively at all levels is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Manage and drive the operation of the business, provide leadership and support, ensuring awareness and commitment to the companys vision and strategy.
Implement production efficiency interventions, redesign plant processes and systems to improve and streamline operational activity output at the right quality.
Oversee finance statutory, tax compliance, and budgeting to ensure business sustainability.
Manage purchasing control and systems to mitigate risk, execute project justification, scope and planning or capital projects.
Oversee inventory control from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring quality of products conform to customers standards as well as compliance to ISO, and legislative requirements.
Develop and revise product specifications to meet customer requirements, as well as providing technical assistance on products and equipment.
Oversee staff resource allocation across operations to minimise labour costs.
Manage and lead the company with regards to all commercial and contractual matters, developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients and partners in a professional manner.
Maintain OTIF targets through robust systems and management.
Provide support to the ongoing implantation of World Class Manufacturing and plant expansion on new technologies.
Drive quality and related programmes, hold meeting to execute planned production, maintenance issues, problem solving and IR issues.
Review OEES daily and manage within standards, control costs by reviewing cost drivers regularly against budget, implement cost saving initiatives.
