Gcc Plant Engineer

Our client. a National FMCG Manufacturer is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a qualified and experienced Plant Engineer with GCC (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering) certification to be based at their Durban Operation. KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS : At minimum a Tertiary qualification in Plant, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) At least 8+ years of industrial plant performance experience - with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory/management role Excellent computer literacy for reporting purposes, time management, task delegation and tracking, and information sharing (MS Office, Outlook and ERP/CRM). Thorough understanding of LRA, BCEA, SHEQ and other industry-legislated procedures and ability to apply in HR and IR situations - strong people management and leadership skills. Be prepared to work flexible hours, some shift, weekend and breakdown duties, when required. Strive for improved plant availability in all actions. Exhibit leadership qualities and set performance examples to lead the production plant to achieve targets and goals. Experience with Refrigeration, Ammonia, Hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, and electrical management over 1500Kw. Project management skills - lead new projects and achieve project goals. People management track record - managing engineers, production, maintenance, and machine operation staff. Strong operations and performance management capabilities, including compiling reports and supporting documentation. Ability to work in high pressure work environment and be hands on and frontline in daily operations, tasks and deliverables. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Manage Plant Machinery, premises, and staff, ensuring adherence to SHEQ, HR, IR and maintenance plans.
