Fund Accountant - Traditional Funds OffshoreJoin to apply for the Fund Accountant - Traditional Funds Offshore role at ACCA Careers.Job OverviewThe Apex Group, established in Bermuda in (Year), is one of the world's largest fund administration and middle office solutions providers.We serve clients globally with local expertise across offices worldwide, employing approximately 13,000 staff.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Fund Accountant to report to a Manager within the Fund Accounting Division.Responsibilities include preparing accurate portfolio valuations and financial statements, maintaining accounting records, and liaising with fund managers, brokers, and custodians.Typically, you will handle 3 to 6 valuations, covering domestic, offshore, hedge funds, partnerships, etc.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly portfolio valuations.Maintain underlying accounting records for assigned funds.Communicate with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to resolve issues promptly.Reconcile brokerage and custodian accounts.Build and maintain excellent client relationships.Assist external auditors and handle audit queries efficiently.Review and identify errors or inconsistencies periodically.Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Commerce, Honors, or Business Science with a focus on Financial Accounting.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.Structured, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks under strict deadlines.At least 2 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in MS Excel.Knowledge of the hedge fund industry is a plus.Additional InformationEmployment type: Full-timeSeniority level: Entry levelIndustry: AccountingJob function: Accounting / Auditing and FinanceNote: Unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies will not be accepted.
