Salary:R 150 000,00 per annum plus commissionExperienceThe successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years experience, working at a Supervisory level within the Hospitality Industry.Formal qualificationsA minimum of a Higher Certificate or a National Diploma qualificationBasic food hygiene certification will be advantageousValid driving license code 08Computer literacy with regards to MS Office and specifically Word, Excel and Power PointResponsibilitiesThe Front of House Restaurant Manager must oversee the front of house activities and the operations of the restaurantTo ensuring that service delivery and servings runs efficiently and effectivelyTo manage shifts and ensure that serving of food and provision of hospitality services are done efficiently and effectively managedTo check event calendar entries and to ensure that requirements are fulfilledTo maintain good behaviour and discipline amongst the team (waiters and cleaners), training (where deemed necessary), checking of clockings etc.To arrange and attend functions and events as delegated by the EmployerTo arrange the planning, hosting and managing of internal and external events, functions and hospitality.To maintain inventories of all equipment, and to manage stockTo conduct the stock take, stock control and to coordinate and manage the administrative requirementsTo ensure that the restaurant is kept tidy and neatInherent requirements for the positionExcellent communication skillsA strong commitment towards quality and serviceGood problem-solving skillsReliable and dependableAbility to work independently and to work under pressure in a challenging environmentAttention to detailAchievement drivenAssertive and stress handling and coping capabilityGood people management skills motivating, developing and directing team members and identifying the best people for the jobPhysical ability to set up events, move furniture and other equipment and load and unload catering requirementsGood organisational skills ability to think quickly and adapt to changing situationsTo be presentable, clean and professional and to maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and personal hygieneThe willingness and ability to be flexible in working hours including the ability to work evenings and weekends
