Main Purpose of the Role
The Freight Forwarder Site is responsible for supporting/managing the full logistics function for the client working closely with the Operational Controllers and Account Manager ie keeping the client updated on all shipment statuses on a daily basis, attending to daily queries by the client, arranging deliveries, managing and completing the GIT Report and managing the statements with the client so as to ensure payment.
Job Related Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry.
Knowledge and experience on the following modes of transport:
Seafreight
Airfreight
Electives
Previous experience with working on an automotive account will be advantageous.
Client Liaison
Computer Literacy
Microsoft Suite
Cargowise 1 exposure
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing and completing a GIT Report.
Managing the delivery of client cargo.
Receiving and distribution of DSV documents both for sign off by the client for payment to DSV as well as to enable the client to pay their relevant suppliers.
Managing the DSV statement with the client to ensure payment.
Handling all general logistics related queries on behalf of the client.
Preparation of estimates for the client when required.
Back up to the Operational Controller when required.
