Forensic Investigator

Santam Forensic Services is looking for an individual with strong investigation skills and the ability to build good relationships.
The successful candidate must furthermore have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Although the position will be based at Santam Wanderers Office Park, there will be a great amount of travelling involved.
What will make you successful in this role?The primary responsibility for this position is to conduct investigations into the various forms of insurance crime and unethical conduct affecting the short-term insurance industry.
The successful applicant must be able to:
Understand the elements required to investigate crimes such as fraud, corruption, theft and cybercrimeConduct interviews and compile affidavitsCollect and reference relevant evidenceTestify and present evidence in a court or at a disciplinary hearingQualification and Experience4-7 years knowledge and experience in the investigationEstablished reputation for integrity, good judgment, fairness and discretion when dealing with peopleKnowledgeKnowledge and experience in the criminal justice, civil litigation systems and labour lawKnowledge in investigation methodologyKnowledge in case managementKnowledge of the financial services industry, especially the short-term insurance industry would be an advantage.SkillsInvestigation relevant to fraud, theft, corruptionPlanning and time managementExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Computer literate in MS Office package: MS Word, PowerPoint, InternetCore CompetenciesCultivates innovation - Contributing independentlyCustomer focus - Contributing independentlyDrives results - Contributing independentlyCollaborates - Contributing independentlyBeing resilient - Contributing independently
