Food & Beverage Manager

A full service hotel is in search of an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join the team.Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:Matric / Grade 12Post-matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous3 – 5 years experience in a 4-star hotel, resort or similar environmentComputer literateGood understanding of POS systemsPrevious leadership roleExcellent communication skillsGood numeracy skillsGood wine knowledgeHigh level of English proficiencyAbility to planAbility to train and develop a teamMust be motivated, enthusiastic, and energeticMust be a team player, with a positive attitudeMust be willing to work shiftsMust be able to work under pressureOwn transportResponsibilities:Lead by example with a hands-on approachPlan, forecast and execute food and beverage ordersManaging Of Stock (Beverage & OE)Process customer complaints patientlyCheck food and beverage supplies and place orders when neededCommunicate and build strong relationships with vendorsAdhere to food, health, and safety standardsPlan, hire, train, oversee and manage the members of staffOversee and supervise the welcoming of customersAlways strive towards an exceptional customer experienceOrganize, direct, and evaluate food and beverage service.Performance management; monitor staff performance and provide feedback.Purchase and control of inventory.Monitor revenues and expenses.Oversee all events (Booking, Planning & Co-Ordinating)This is a live-out position.
