Floor Assistant Supervisor

JOB TITLE: Floor Assistant Supervisor
OVERVIEW:
Assistant Supervisors liaise between Senior Supervisors/Production Manager and other employees in the department.
Daily duties, but NOT limited to:
Reporting to the Supervisor or Production managers as required.
Liaising between the supervisor/production manager and other employees
Preparing work schedules & delegate tasks to suitable individuals with accordance to the production plan
Ensure that the production plan is followed in a timely manner
Monitor the results of daily activities
Relaying productivity concerns to the Supervisor/Production Manager
Receiving of job slips & drawings
Ensure that the production plan is followed in a timely manner
Report any inefficiency & delays to supervisor/production manager
Ensure sufficient consumables are issued to every production line team; namely power tools, nuts and bolts, grinding discs etc. to reduce delays.
Liaise with buying department with regards to ordered goods & parts &
Liaise with the engineering with regards to the job drawings.
Quality assurance at all times
Oversee/ensure housekeeping in the department at all times,
Racking & stacking of all parts so it's easily identifiable and obtainable
Ensure that health & safety protocols are followed at all times
Assisting with other administrative tasks, when required

Night Shift:
Facilitating nightshift handover
Preparing/Planning night shift work and delegating tasks to suitable individuals.
Monitor the results of nightshift activities
Ensure sufficient consumables are issued to nightshift team; namely power tools, nuts and bolts, grinding discs etc. to reduce delays.

Minimum requirements:
Must have a matric certificate or equivalent qualifications
5 years' experience in the production/manufacturing industry
Must be able to read technical drawings
Must have excellent communication skills
Problem solving skills
Procedure & goal driven
Planning skills
Must be computer literate in Excel, Word & Outlook
