Fleet Controller

Our reputable and well-established client is a market leader in local and cross border auto logistics for vehicles and trucks.  We require a dynamic, proactive Transport Operations Controller to join their Cape Town team with a positive mindset, disciplined and self-motivated disposition. Key Responsibilities: Assist with manifesting and planning vehicles out of the Assist with all local movements and port operations in the Assist with the daily briefing and debriefing of drivers Identify logistical challenges and implement solutions Provide feedback to management regarding all operational matters Collect drivers arriving/delivering in the region Drop off drivers at collection points within the region Planning of pilot routes in line with collection/delivery of drivers Management of fleet vehicles in the region Establish and maintain good working relationships within the organisation Adhere to company Policies and Procedures Data Capturing & record keeping   Qualifications and Skills: Grade 12/Matric Minimum 3 relevant experience Code 14 with PdP Willing to work outside of normal work hours Fully conversant in Microsoft Excel and Word Conversant with QSA Financial Program to create purchase orders Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Reflect leadership abilities Willing to work outside normal office hours Willing to travel and work out of town for short periods Ability to work under pressure Time management skills Stress management skills Team building skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Decision making skills A propensity toward learning and acquiring new skills (the learning never stops).
