Job DescriptionJob Title: FitterOur client, a fast-paced, high-volume poultry processing facility based in Izotsha, is looking for a skilled and reliable Fitter to support maintenance and production operations.
If you are passionate about engineering in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, this could be your next big opportunity!Requirements:Minimum 5 years experience as a mechanical fitter or similar roleCertificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manualsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeFamiliarity with safety procedures, including Lockout/TagoutPhysically fit, able to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spacesBasic welding or fabrication experience is a plusResponsibilities:Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems using technical drawings and blueprintsInstall and align heavy machinery, pumps, conveyors, valves, and piping systemsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical equipmentUse hand and power tools, and precision instruments such as micrometers and calipersConduct functional and pressure tests to ensure optimal system performanceCut, thread, bend, and weld pipes and structural components as requiredDiagnose faults and carry out repairs or part replacements following safety protocols
