Financial Manager

This is a full-time Senior position leading the Finance Team, and reporting to the Head: Business.
Non-Negotiable Qualifications and Experience :
3 years MIN Financial Management experience in NPO or Public Benefit organisation or Education industry is essential
A completed Accounting/Financial Accounting/Financial Management degree MINIMUM, (Financial Accounting Articles preferable but not essential)
Minimum 10-years experience in a Financial role (full financial spectrum – debtors, creditors, payroll, financial reporting, budget presentation etc.)
Must have three to five years Management experience of a Finance team including shared services like HRWITHINa NPO(Non-Profit Organisation), Public Benefit Organisation or Education environment
Duties will include:
Broad accounting control and reporting (multiple entities)This involves ensuring that there is proper accounting and control over all income received (fees, levies, donations, asset purchases etc.), and expenditure discharged
Stakeholder relationships (Board, Bankers, Auditors & External Statutory regulators)
Finance Office Management
Banking
Payroll
Statutory reporting
Abilities / Skills required:
Strong computer literacy skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PASTEL or Sage
Knowledge of PBO, NPO and VAT regulatory requirements
Effective planning and organisational skills
Team leadership skills
Strong written and verbal (interpersonal) skills
