Roles & Responsibilities:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage, supervise and approve all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts and cashflow forecast.Prepare and publish individual entity management accounts.Support month-end and year-end close process.Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Manage key supplier and customer financial relationships.Release paymentsMaintain sustainable financial relationships with material suppliersMaintain sustainable financial relationship with Customers financial teamAssist in development of commercial modelsAssist CE with special deals, pricing arrangements, discount models etc. Evaluate and manage finance team performance Exercise oversight over year end audit and monthly compliance activities.Implement the finance team strategy and roadmapKey Performance Indicators: To manage and enforce adherence to all budgets according to Management instructions on an ongoing basis. To manage all debtors invoicing and collections and generate relevant reports to present to the MD on an ongoing basis. Evidence: debtors age analysis, email statements, phone calls, proof of payments, remittance advise To manage all creditors invoicing and payments and generate relevant.Academic & trades qualificationsGrade 12Completed BCompt Accounting or similar DegreeCompleted SAICA / SAIPA articles in an audit firm preferablyAdvanced computer skills, incl. MS Office Suite, especially ExcelAdvanced skills in accounting systems i.e. Pastel, SAPExperience RequiredMinimum of 3-5 years Senior Accountant, Financial Controller or similar experienceTrack record of managing and developing subordinatesNo criminal recordAble to pass background checkPersonal qualities & behavioural traitsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsActive listening skillsExcellent numerical skillsAble to analyse problems and strategize for better solutionsMeticulous attention to detail Excellent time management skillsStrong accounting background required Experience with Annual Financial Statements advantageous Process driven Significant experience in dealing with inventory Experience in design, development and implementation of financial internal controls for each accounting cycleAbility to lead and manage a team
