What You Will Do Provide business partnering to the Supply Chain and Commercial functions, generating insights that drive the delivery of the Commercial, Supply Chain and Logistics financial plans. Prepare in depth and insightful analysis of business results, including the identification of opportunities and risks together with recommended actions. Actively handle ad hoc assignments and drive end to end compliance across the organization. Key Responsibilities • Provide Commercial (Marketing) team with strong financial support through the planning process e.g., situation analysis, strategic plans, BPR reports. • Challenge and support the development of the financial assumptions that underpin the Commercial (Marketing) plans. • Provide analysis and evaluation of the Commercial (Marketing) financial plans, ensuring the most profitable allocation of resources through financial insights & constructive challenge. • Ensure that budget targets and guidelines are cascaded to the Marketing and Supply Chain Leadership Teams. • Ensure that investment choices are aligned to Brand strategic priorities and are financially. • evaluated to provide a long-term perspective of the impact on Brand and Portfolio profitability. • Partner with the Commercial team to deliver gross profit growth targets. • Monitor monthly GP and ensure that all the necessary journals are posted correctly (incl. OCNIS, Grids and Intercompany). • Monitor and track Brand and Marketing Expenditure (BME) to ensure that funds are invested in line with the Commercial and Brand plans. • Evaluate cost of goods sold and conduct financial evaluation of all price increase proposals. • Monitor and track PPVs and manage the impact of FAA and inventory adjustments in CNIS. • Support the implementation of S&OP practices. • Partner with the Supply Chain team to drive cost saving initiatives and deliver savings. • Monitor and track distribution and warehousing costs. • Prepare financials for the Brand teams as part of the monthly BPR cycle. • Promote a robust control and governance environment across the Brand teams as well as Supply chain. • General P&L support, projects, and initiatives. Qualifications What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications • 6 years' experience in FMCG environment in roles of increasing responsibility • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities • Well refined technical finance and strategic skills • Ability to manage complexity - multiple stakeholders and Channels • (CA) SA or similar qualification Core Competencies • In depth understanding of the Commercial Brands, Consumer Market and Supply Chain processes. • Outstanding financial and commercial acumen, preferably in FMCG. • Good knowledge in Accounting Standards. • Thorough understanding of planning and reporting processes. • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability/desire to work in a team-based, customer-focused environment. • Strong leadership skills: ability to effectively influence across all levels of management.
