Details of the offer

Controls and prepares the financial aspects of the Aggregates business unit and submits valid, timeous and correct financial reports to LSA. ? Develop Aggregates budget and report against budget, PY, prior month and forecast. ? Business partnering with General Manager and Aggregates leadership team. PLANNING ? Planning for at least 12 to 24 months. Involved in medium- and long-term plans (3 – 5 years). ? Monthly forecasting and variance analysis against relevant comparatives. ? Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process for the Aggregates division. ? Monitor labour market and IR activity in the industry and within LSA and Aggregates. ? Develop policies and procedures. CONTROL ? Lead all activities within the Controlling & Accounting department to ensure that relevant financial information and analysis, are accurate and available on-time for appropriate decision making in accordance to legislation and internal rules. ? Monitor, control and report on Aggregates division’s financial performance against budget, forecast and prior periods. ? Report and monitor performance per quarry to aid performance monitoring and improvement. ? Provide business support to the Local/Group Performance Review team. ? Review the monthly inventory reconciliation process and also ensure accurate standard cost are maintained Identify trends, risks and opportunities in the financial performance of Aggregates with key focus on trading margins, support process costs and other relevant KPI’s. ? Monitor and control fixed assets verifications in compliance with minimum control standards. ? Review and support Capital expenditure decisions to ensure projects have acceptable payback periods. ? Liaise with Internal and external auditors. ? Adherence to minimum control standards. ? Support the business in evaluating cost saving initiatives and tracking installed initiatives. ? Preparation of Board reports for the segments. ? Lead and develop Aggregates finance team. ? Participation in Qala Joint Venture Board meetings and AGMs by invitation. ? Ad hoc tasks based on business requirements. ? Postgraduate qualification such as CA(SA) / CIMA or equivalent. ? 5 – 8 Years’ experience with at least 3 years in senior management. ? Knowledge of labour legislation/training legislation. ? Business partnering skills. ? Management Accounting expertise and analytical skills. ? Working knowledge of SAP. ? Ability to listen and influence key stakeholders. ? Strong selling and negotiating skills. Negotiable - salary open ?
