Finance Manager in Rondebosch
Our client a company based in Rondebosch requires a Finance Manager, CA (SA) to oversee the full function accounting. It is important to know that the successful Finance Manager in Rondebosch would be the only person in the finance department. Therefore this Finance Manager would be in charge of the full function, from the mundane filling and processing up to the complex budgeting, forecasting, profiling and forex calculations.
The successful Finance Manager will report to the Managing Partner, an all-rounder, this position requires an experienced Accountant to manage all accounting operations-based accounting principles, prepare budgets and financial forecasts, manage month end and year end close process. This requires an excellent knowledge of financial regulations and legislation together with excellent costing ability.
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
-Maintain financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts
-Reconcile general bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
-Provides financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects
-Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries
-Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with financial legal requirements
-Produce Profit & Loss Balance sheets
-Handle Quarterly and Year End Close Process
-Maintain customer and supplier age analysis
-Prepare the year-end audit file
-Prepare budgets and financial forecasts
-Processing all purchase invoices
-Processing payments and receipts (Local and International)
-Preparing Quarterly Management Account packs
-Prepare VAT201 monthly
-Review financial statements during audit time
-Prepare Quarterly Reports as requested
-Prepare IFRS effect during audit time

Minimum qualifications and professional experience required:
-B Tech Accounting or B Com Accounting
-5+ years’ experience as an Accountant
-Accounting Software Experience, preferably Infor SunSystems
-CA (SA) will count in your favor

-Details of all previous work experience even if non-financial of nature
-At least three recent references
Salary
Our client offers a market related salary depending on qualification and experience. Office hours 09h00 – 17h00, overtime required, 18 – 20 days leave.
