Minimum Qualifications:Relevant 3-year tertiary education, a CA (SA) with 10 years’ post articles experience
Previous experience within the LPM or similar industry would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels including BoD Level
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Experience in managing a large cross functional team
Excellent report writing skills and proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
Display effective leadership skills
Financial and analytical acumen
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Proficiency in English and another South African language (from the region) would be advantageous
Ability to work effectively under pressure
General technical knowledge requirements:
Consolidations experience with exposure to IFRS 3 and business acquisitions
Group reporting in a listed environment with the compilation of board reporting documents
Corporate Finance Management experience in business valuations, capital budgeting and working capital management
Working knowledge of South African Taxation laws (Income tax, VAT and Gaming Taxes)
Exposure to new implementations and/or improvement of accounting systems desirable
Key Performance Areas:
Enhance the organizational effectiveness and efficiency of the Group Financial Reporting requirements
Assess and manage the group wide financial risks within the current risk management framework
Understand and develop financial strategy to support the business whilst ensuring shareholder expectations are met
Understand and develop central support functions to the regions in the areas of revenue management, site administration and asset profitability maximisation
Co-ordinate the roll-out expansion of the LPM network across regions to ensure optimal Capital allocations for profit maximisation
Ensure budgets and targets are set, necessary approval is received, and measures are put in place to measure and achieve them
Effective time management to ensure all deadlines are met for all stakeholders
Ensure the BoD are always informed on relevant issues affecting the business growth and financial strategies
Develop a sound relationship with the Gambling Boards and all relevant key stakeholders
Ensure compliance with the relevant policies, procedures, Companies Act, International Financial Reporting Standards, gaming and statutory laws
Manage and develop the relationship with Head Office Group functions such as Finance, Insurance, Company Secretarial, Procurement and Business Analytics team
Ensure appropriate business staffing levels and recruitment in accordance with existing policies
Management of the Limits of Authority and procurement process needs of the Sun Slots Group with all related dependencies
Monthly & quarterly reporting to the BoD and other relevant parties
Manage the Group’s Information Technology needs in conjunction with the IT Demand Manager, and develop integration plans of the IT systems alongside Head Office’s Information Technology Department
Manage special projects as needed, to enhance business systems and expansion
