The role involves accurate recording, processing, monitoring, and reporting of all financial documents, with full management and accountability of the accounting function.Qualifications Required:Grade 12Relevant financial qualificationSkills/Competencies Required:Managing ProcessesPersonal effectivenessTeam leadershipWorks well in a teamDelivering high performanceHaving an accounting mind-setMaking insightful business decisionsPlanning and organizingMeticulous about work presentationProcess ImprovementAccuracyCommunicationsDeadline drivenComputer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointResponsibilities:Understand the accounts processing of both debtors and creditors transactionsReconcile all debtors and creditors paymentsPrepare monthly reconciliations and reporting for the accountantRecover debt from customers with agreed payment termsIdentify un-processed payments and receipts and timeously apply themIdentify and resolve all account-related queries timeouslyEnsure that POs are requested from clientsProcess all invoicingEnsure all customers' monthly processing has been completed and payments allocated before monthly accounts receivable closeEnsure the timeous escalation of queries or system failures with the relevant stakeholdersAssist in weekly/monthly stock take and completion of stock take sheetsScrutinize monthly expensesIntroduce controls and procedures where necessaryAd hoc reporting as requested by managementExperience Required:5 years experience in working with QuickBooks and Pastel5 years experience in a similar roleSound understanding of QuickBooks and Pastel accounting processes
